De formación autodidacta, desde 1997 vive y trabaja en Brooklyn, Nueva York. Ha exhibido de forma individual en ciudades como: Madrid, París, Ciudad de México, California, Milán, Berlín, Nueva York, Panamá y Monterrey. Su obra ha sido galardonada en importantes certámenes como la Bienal de Pintura Rufino Tamayo, Bienal Monterrey FEMSA, Encuentro Nacional de Arte Joven, entre otros.
"De vocación voyerista, Rodríguez pinta mujeres que son un arquetipo que se convierte en un pretexto pictórico. Dice que busca crear un 'lenguaje pictórico, universal, muy fácil de absorber y de entender', nunca se sintió cómodo haciendo cosas que requerían de una explicación sofisticada.
"Las mujeres que pinta dejan su condición humana, son un vehículo para analizar el color y la forma, para desprender del hiperrealismo a la interpretación y la alteración. Una trayectoria en el gran formato, en el que la pincelada limpia y precisa, con colores violentos y deslumbrantes hace de la realidad una ficción delirante. La presencia femenina es una dualidad que manifiesta la lejanía de la pintura y el realismo fotográfico". Avelina Lésper.

He is a self-taught artist and, since 1997, lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He has exhibited individually in cities such as Madrid, Paris, Mexico City, California, Milan, Berlin, New York, Panama and Monterrey. His work has been awarded in important venues such as Bienal de Pintura Rufino Tamayo, Bienal Monterrey FEMSA, Encuentro Nacional de Arte Joven, among others.
"Of voyeuristic vocation, Rodríguez paints women that are an archetype that transforms itself into a pictorial pretext. He says that he seeks to create a 'language that is pictorial, universal, easy to absorb and understand', he never felt uncomfortable doing things that required a sophisticated explanation.
"The women he paints abandon their human condition and become a vehicle to analyze color and form, to part from hyperrealism to interpretation and alteration. A trajectory within the large format, in which a clean and precise brushstroke, with violent dazzling colors turn reality into a delirious fiction. Female presence is a duality that manifests the distance of painting from photographic realism". Avelina Lésper.
